Tui Na (meaning 'push and grasp') is an ancient Chinese massage therapy based on stimulating acupressure points on the body to promote Qi and Blood flow to restore balance. It is frequently used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) alongside acupuncture.

Possible side effects: Tui Na is suitable for most people of all ages. It is versatile and the pressure can be adopted accordingly. After the treatment, you may feel slightly light headed, feel emotional, tired and/or experience changes in bowel movement. This is perfectly normal and is a sign of improvements taking place.
Gua sha
Gua sha is involves a use of a smooth-edged tool to stroke the patient's skin with a certain pressure. This motion raises small, red, rash-like dots that show under your skin called petechiae. This is a completely painless therapy which helps to release blockages and stagnation in the body and move blood. Gua sha is used to treat chronic pain all over the body, as well as a massage treatment for facial enhancement.
Cupping
Cupping is a therapy originating in ancient China, Egypt and Greece. Cupping therapy is mainly used by by quickly heating the inside of the cup with fire, to create suction and then placed on the skin. Cups are left on the skin for about 15 to 20 minutes. Cups can also be moved to create a massage effect. The pressure created by the suction stimulates the local acupuncture point, this increases the Qi and blood flow.

Side effects: Temporary red marks will appear after the treatment. These disappear within few days. The more stagnation in the boy, the darker the marks are.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion involves burning mugwort leaves to enhance curative and preventative effects of acupuncture. However, it is also used on its own, heating specific acupuncture points to promote blood flow, blood nourishment and releasing toxins. Moxibustion helps to penetrate both thin and deeper layer of skin tissue. It has been used for muscular tension, osteoarthritis, incontinence, colitis, malposition of foetus amongst many other conditions.
